Two days of trail running through pristine Big 5 wilderness, on trails very few people will ever experience on foot.
This is so much more than a race. It’s a full weekend in the wild — incredible running, wildlife, bush dinners, sundowners and a group of people coming together for a seriously special African adventure.

WILD WHEELS — The Wildest Ride on Earth
21–23 November 2026
The weekend kicks off on Friday with a 20km prologue, followed by sundowners in the bush.
Then Saturday is the main event — The Wild Wheels Classic. Choose the full 90km Classic or the 50km Short Course, riding through spectacular Big 5 wilderness and parts of the reserve that are rarely experienced from the saddle.
One big day. One incredible route. One seriously wild ride.

Get There
Bayala Safari Lodge is a short 2.5-hour drive from King Shaka International Airport.

Travel North on the N2 from King Shaka

Turn right off the N2 at the Baobab In (Approximately 20 km past Hluhluwe)

Cross the railway and turn right along the district road

Continue to the gate which will be on the left-hand side of the road
